The Township Secretary is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to oversee the day to day operations of the Township, as well as provide support to the Board of Supervisors.
The Township Secretary is responsible for seeing that Township business is properly transacted, and that the problems and questions of citizens are attended to or brought to the Supervisors' attention.
The Secretary is also responsible for maintaining Township records, preparing Agendas and recording the official Minutes of the Supervisor meetings, performing the duties as the Township’s Open Record Officer, preparing and submitting bid documents and quote requests, attending intergovernmental functions as needed and preparing and filing all required forms and reports required by state and federal governmental agencies.
Work is performed independently with decisions being made in accordance with established rules and policies and at the direction of the Board of Supervisors.
