Public Notice – Ordinance No. 01 of 2022 – Notice of Intent to Consider and Enact

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Cambridge Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, intend to consider and enact an Ordinance to amend the Cambridge Township Zoning Ordinance and Cambridge Township Zoning Map, at its Regular Meeting scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Municipal Building, located at 22530 Electric Drive, Cambridge Springs, Pa. beginning at 7:00 p.m. The title of the Ordinance is an Ordinance of Cambridge Township, Crawford County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Amending the 2016 Cambridge Township Zoning Ordinance and Cambridge Township Zoning Map to Rezone Parcels Located in the I-2 Industrial Park Zoning District to the R-1 Suburban Residential Zoning District. A summary of the ordinance follows. Section 1 amends the definition of “Place of Worship and Assembly” to include senior centers and community centers as a Place of Worship and Assembly. Section 2 amends the Cambridge Township Zoning Map to rezone the following properties from the Industrial Park (I-2) to the Suburban Residential (R-1) Zoning District – properties identified by Crawford County Tax Parcel Numbers 1505-44, 1506-078-1, 1506-078-2, 1507-001, and a portion of 1506-078 all being contiguous lots located generally in the southeast corner of the intersection of State Highway 86 and Electric Drive (T- 820) together with a portion of No. 1505-056 situate on the northeast corner of the intersection of Electric Drive & Wenner Drive (T-822). Section 3 amends the Minimum Lot Width for Single Family Dwellings with Public Water and Sewer contained in the Suburban Residential District from “1,000” to “100.” Section 4 amends Section 802 entitled “Initiation of Zoning Amendments” to clarify the means of seeking an amendment to the Zoning ordinance consistent with law. Section 5 provides for severability of provisions found invalid. Section 6 repeals inconsistent ordinances, Section 7 ratifies all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and Section 8 makes the Ordinance effective five days following enactment.
