Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is an independent advisory body consisting of five (5) township residents who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, to serve five-year terms. Their duty is to ensure that the important issues of land use and future growth are balanced - by preserving property owner's rights while furthering the best interest of the public.
The Planning Commission plays a vital role in shaping the future of the Township as they are charged with the task of developing and updating the Township's Zoning Ordinance and Map, the Comprehensive Plan and the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, all of which have an impact on the property in the Township.
The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet the third Monday of every month, at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Building, with meetings open to the public. If there is no business to be conducted by the Planning Commission, and the public meeting is cancelled, a notice advising of such cancellation is posted at the Municipal Building, as well as on our website.
If you have any questions, or request that business to be placed on the Planning Commission’s Agenda, please contact the Municipal Building at (814) 398-8327 or email cambridgetwp@verizon.net.
