Stormwater Ordinance

In April 2011, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No. 01-2011, Cambridge Township’s Stormwater Management Ordinance.  The Ordinance adopted the regulations of the Pennsylvania Stormwater Management Act (Act 167 of 1978) and implemented the Crawford County Act 167 County-Wide Watersheds Stormwater Management Plan.

Stormwater management is the effort to reduce runoff of rainwater or melted snow into streets, lawns and other sites and the improvement of water quality.

Stormwater management practices such as detention ponds and infiltration areas are designed to mitigate the negative impacts of increase runoff.
